Join the London Choral Sinfonia to launch its 2026/27 Season in a thrilling blaze of music for organ and orchestra. The LCS orchestra is joined by organist James Orford (St Paul’s Cathedral) for two of the great twentieth-century concertos. Poulenc’s fiery Organ Concerto for solo organ, strings and timpani opens the programme. Bach’s masterpiece Fantasia & Fugue in G minor - on which Poulenc based his Concerto - follows. The programme culminates with Malcolm Arnold’s powerful and uplifting Concerto for Organ & Orchestra, featuring brass, strings and percussion. Released last year to great critical acclaim, the LCS recording of the Arnold Concerto was included in Gramophone’s annual Editor’s Top Choices, and received 5-star reviews in BBC Music Magazine and Choir & Organ.
The spectacular Walker organ of St John the Evangelist, Islington, will be put through its paces. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this music live.

We return to Sinfonia Smith Square’s Easter Festival for a meditative programme based around the music of J.S. Bach. The dazzling choral motets are interspersed with solo cello suites, performed by Guy Johnston.
